O2 arena. Full stands, red scarves, the hum of the ice. And then silence. That specific post-game locker room smell. Sweat, adrenaline, and the scent of victory or defeat.

The founder of Yes Krabičky, Radek Vítek, used to be in that same locker room as a player. Today, he delivers top-notch food to the locker room. And the difference doesn't bother him; on the contrary.

Barney is back

In his junior days, opponents didn't like him. Under the nickname Barney, Radek Vítek was the type of defenseman who wouldn't be told what to do and made every forward regret even daring to skate onto the ice. Every clash on the boards, every defensive play, every test of nerves – that was him. He ultimately didn't make a professional playing career, as he says himself. But Sparta stayed with him forever, as it does with everyone who experiences it once.

"Sparta has always been close to my heart. Although my playing career didn't work out back then, the fact that after years I returned to the club as a partner, taking care of the nutrition of today's stars, I see as a full circle moment and a great honor."

These words are not PR phrases. They are the words of a person who knows what it means to wear the red jersey. A person who knows what it takes.

What the Spartans really eat

Proper nutrition makes a difference in professional sports that you won't see on the scoreboard. You'll see it in the second period. In a power play after tough travel. In overtime of the seventh playoff game. In recovery, which thanks to it, takes hours instead of days.

The HC Sparta Prague A-team players eat meals prepared daily by chef Radek Hasman, a Michelin Bib Gourmand award winner. This is no coincidence or marketing. It's a philosophy that sports nutrition doesn't have to compromise between performance and taste.

The Yes Krabičky kitchen regularly hosts names that are undisputed in Czech gastronomy:

  • Marek Raditsch and Miroslav Kalina - MasterChef judges who brought fine-dining thinking to the meal boxes

  • Riccardo Lucque - an expert in Italian cuisine, where the quality of ingredients is not a slogan, but a condition

  • Jakub Reichman and Dominik Unčovský - modern gastronomy without shortcuts

Every meal a player opens is a gastronomic experience. Not just a dose of nutrients.

The season is behind us. Preparation is just beginning.

Sparta was eliminated from the playoffs this year after a fierce and thrilling battle with Dynamo Pardubice. It was painful for the club, for the fans, and especially for the players. But the hockey season doesn't end with the last game. It starts anew.

The offseason is a window in which the foundations for the next year are laid. Regeneration of damaged tissues. Strength training. Gaining or reducing weight according to the specific player. And for all this, you need food that works for you, not food that you quickly grab at the table.

Why it matters to us

We could have more clients if we compromised. Cheaper ingredients, faster preparation, more meal boxes a day. But that's not the model that made Radek Vítek, Radek Hasman, and Yes Krabičky famous.

Local quality, no preservatives, daily preparation from fresh ingredients – these are the conditions that we at Yes Krabičky will not compromise on. And Sparta knows it. That's why our cooperation works.

The story of Radek Vítek and HC Sparta Prague is more than a partnership contract. It's the story of a man who returned to where it all began. And this time, he's making sure others have what he didn't have access to back then.

Quality fuel. Every day. No excuses.
