Origin

Kampot pepper is grown in Kampot Province, located in the very south of Cambodia in Southeast Asia.

Thanks to its coastal climate and geological conditions, this region enables local farmers to produce pepper of the highest quality in the world. It is no coincidence that this pepper has been granted protected geographical indication status, much like French champagne.
We buy pepper from small family farms under direct trade terms, which guarantee fair compensation for every grower, and we strive to promote this approach among other traders as well.
By buying from us, you therefore get not only the highest-quality pepper, but also the assurance that you are purchasing a sustainable and ethically responsible product that helps provide its producers with medical care and education for their children.

Characteristics

White pepper is a gentle yet still peppery caress for the taste buds.

Once ground, it releases aromas of camphor, sage, and cedarwood, accompanied by delicate notes of mace, grapefruit, and other citrus fruits. After a few minutes in the mouth, you may taste notes of nutmeg, thyme blossom, and lemon balm, underpinned by aromas of cedar and black tea.

Processing

White pepper is a specialty made from fully ripe red peppercorns.

They are then dried in direct sunlight and soaked again to remove the red skin, leaving only the creamy-white peppercorn.

Thanks to careful selection that meets the strict quality requirements for pepper exported from Kampot, set by the Kampot Pepper Promotion Association, only the finest peppercorns are hand-picked. They are then vacuum-packed to preserve their quality and freshness on the journey to the Czech Republic, where they are further selected, packaged, and delivered right to your table.

Uses

Different kinds of pepper are suited to different uses because of their distinct flavors, aromas, and pungency. White pepper is ideal for white meats.

It brings out the flavor of seafood beautifully and pairs well with risotto, creamy soups, and its flavor also shines in a good pasta dish. The more finely you crush Kampot pepper, the more intense its heat; larger pieces or whole peppercorns, on the other hand, will lend a dish more distinctive pepper notes.

Packaging

Thanks to the materials used and the special bag-sealing technology, air and moisture cannot reach the pepper.

As a result, even after opening the bag, the peppercorns retain the authentic flavor and aroma of Kampot pepper. Once empty, you can also upcycle the bags as part of a more sustainable approach and continue using them in many other ways. We package pepper in resealable bags ranging in size from 20 to 1000 grams. Each package also includes a brochure that tells the story of the world's finest pepper and introduces you to the world of .pepper..field.

Awards

Quality comes first for us, as confirmed not only by the certificates our pepper carries, but also by the awards it wins in international competitions.

Among the most prestigious is the award our pepper received at the Great Taste Awards, one of the most prestigious competitions in the world of gastronomy.

Sustainability is also important to us, and we don’t see it as just an empty promise, as demonstrated by the SDG Award given to truly sustainable and socially responsible projects.
