Amino acid for pump, increased performance and strength.
Citrulline is a non-essential amino acid whose main weapon is the production of nitric oxide. Nitric oxide, or NO, plays a key role in vasodilation (widening of blood vessels). Thanks to increased blood flow in the vessels, the muscles are better supplied with blood, and therefore pumped, which results in a better supply of nutrients to the muscles.
Citrulline malate, a combination of a naturally fermented amino acid and malic acid, has been shown in studies to increase endurance [1], improve recovery [2], and increase strength [3]. Citrulline, along with arginine and ornithine, is also a major player in the urea cycle, which is the metabolic process of converting ammonia into urea, which is then excreted from the body as a waste product of protein digestion. The product contains 100% pure fermented citrulline malate without any additives, flavors, or fillers.
BrainMax Citrulline Malate, Citrulline Malate 500 g
Citrulline as an amino acid and malate as malic acid are a unique combination whose results you will feel in increasing endurance and strength [1,3] or improving regeneration [2] . Malate is involved in increasing cellular energy ATP (the last phase of the Krebs cycle) and citrulline reduces the formation of lactic acid and ammonia, thereby extending the duration of performance while reducing fatigue and muscle soreness.
Citrulline is converted in the body to another amino acid, arginine, which is involved in the production of nitric oxide, or NO . Nitric oxide, or NO, plays a key role in vasodilation (widening of blood vessels). Thanks to the higher blood flow in the vessels, the muscles are better supplied with blood, or pumped, which also results in a better supply of nutrients to the muscles. Thanks to the malic acid that citrulline malate contains, the taste of citrulline is quite sour, so we recommend mixing it into juice, smoothies or coconut water , which will reduce the acidity.

Why take BrainMax Citrulline Malate?
Nitric oxide, as a signaling molecule for blood vessel dilation , is a very important component not only for individuals who exercise and feel a greater muscle pump . Blood flow to tissues is also excellent due to a better supply of nutrients , which improves regeneration and last but not least, NO is very useful for cardiovascular fitness.
Research suggests that citrulline malate helps break down lactic acid, thereby delaying fatigue and improving endurance , making it a suitable supplement for athletes.
Citrulline is more potent than L-Arginine in terms of increasing NO, and in the form of citrulline malate it is also better absorbed and more slowly broken down, thereby increasing NO levels in the blood for a longer period of time.
Citrulline is involved in the metabolic process of converting ammonia into urea, which is then excreted from the body as a waste product of protein digestion.
It does not contain any fillers or flavorings, only 100% citrulline malate.

BrainMax Citrulline Malate is suitable for individuals oriented towards:
- Muscle pump and blood flow to the muscles.
- Increasing sports performance.
- Delaying fatigue during sports performance.
- Regeneration.
- Increasing NO .
- Removal of waste products from the body.
Citrulline Malate vs L-Citrulline
Citrulline malate is more suitable for sports performance and strength, because it also contains malic acid, which increases cellular energy. Some sources indicate that it breaks down more slowly than regular L-citrulline and therefore increases NO, i.e., the dilation of blood vessels, and the pump for longer. On the other hand, there is one third less citrulline in one dose at the expense of malate ( malic acid ), but this can be solved by increasing the dose, for example, to 8 to 9 g for a proper pump.
