Origin

Kampot pepper is grown in Kampot province, located in the very south of East Asian Cambodia.

This is an area whose maritime climate and geological conditions allow local farmers to produce the highest quality pepper in the world. It is no coincidence that this pepper has been granted a protected geographical indication, similar to French champagne.
We purchase pepper from small family farms under direct trade conditions that guarantee a fair reward for each grower, and we try to promote this approach among other traders.

Characteristics

White pepper is a gentle, yet still peppery caress for the taste buds.

After grinding, the aromas of camphor, sage and cedar wood develop, accompanied by a delicate aroma of mace, grapefruit and other citrus fruits . After a few minutes in the mouth you can smell the notes of nutmeg , thyme flower and lemon balm, underpinned by the aroma of cedar and black tea.


Processing

White pepper is a specialty that is obtained from fully ripe red peppercorns.

These are then dried in direct sunlight and soaked again to remove the red skin , leaving only the creamy white peppercorns.

Thanks to careful selection that meets the strict quality requirements for pepper exported from Kampot , set by the Kampot Pepper Association, only the best grains are hand-picked. They are then vacuum-packed to preserve quality and freshness during the journey to the Czech Republic, where they are further selected, packaged and delivered to your table.


Use

Due to their different taste, aroma and pungency, different types of pepper are suitable for different purposes. White pepper goes well with light meat.

It perfectly enhances the taste of seafood, goes well with risotto, creamy soups and its taste is not lost even in combination with a good paste. The finer you grind the Kampot pepper, the more intense the pungency will be , while larger fragments or whole grains will give the dish more specific pepper tones.


Packaging

Thanks to the materials used and the special bag sealing technology, no air or moisture reaches the pepper.

This means that the grains retain the authentic taste and aroma of Kampot pepper even after opening the bag.
